For most travellers, Hotel Metropolitan Premier Taipei is the first of these Taipei luxury hotels to check: at lookup time it had the highest review score of the eight 5-star hotels in our search, and it is 1.9 km from the city centre. If you want to stay as central as possible, compare Cosmos Hotel Taipei Main Station and Palais de Chine Hotel. If guest feedback matters more to you than location, Caesar Park Hotel Banqiao had the second-highest review score at lookup time.
Who this list is for
This guide is for anyone choosing a Taipei 5-star hotel for a short city trip who wants a clear shortlist instead of scrolling through dozens of listings. We searched for two adults, so the list suits couples, friends travelling together and business travellers best. Families can still use it, but should check room occupancy and bed setup on each booking page, because we did not search for children.
If you already have a particular hotel brand in mind, search for it directly. This list only covers hotels that came up in our search, and we don’t comment on hotels outside that data.
How we picked these hotels
We used Agoda partner search data looked up on October 25, 2026, for a two-night stay from November 24 to November 26, 2026, for two adults. We compared eight 5-star hotels from that search on review score and number of reviews at lookup time, distance from the city centre, whether breakfast was included in the searched rate, free wifi, opening and renovation years, and listed check-in and check-out times.
We then chose six hotels to profile in detail, each for a different reason: guest feedback, location, newer rooms or practical extras such as parking. The other two, Caesar Metro Taipei and Caesar Park Hotel, appear in the location and breakfast notes below.
This article does not quote prices. Rates change with dates and availability, so check the rate table on this page for current prices on your dates.

Booking checklist
Before you confirm a room at any of these Taipei luxury hotels, check the following:
- Free cancellation: check whether the rate is refundable and note the cancellation deadline. With a non-refundable rate, you may still have to pay if your plans change.
- Taxes and fees: check whether the total shown includes taxes and service charges before you reach the payment step.
- Room type: our data did not name a specific room type, so compare bed type, room size, view and maximum occupancy on the booking page.
- Breakfast: make sure it is included in the rate you pick, not just mentioned on the hotel listing.
- Check-out time: if you have an evening flight, choose a hotel with a later check-out or ask about luggage storage.
- Current rates: check the rate table on this page for your dates, because rates change with dates and availability.
