For a family trip to Bangkok, Grande Centre Point Hotel Terminal 21 is the most practical all-round pick. It’s the closest hotel to the city centre on this list and has a 2:00 PM check-in. If guest ratings matter most, compare Eastin Grand Hotel Phayathai and Eastin Grand Hotel Sathorn, the two highest-scored hotels in our results at lookup time. The Berkeley Hotel Pratunam and Grande Centre Point Hotel Ratchadamri were at the lower end of the price order in the same search, and Chatrium Hotel Riverside Bangkok suits families who would rather stay outside the central districts.

Who this list is for

This guide is for parents comparing Bangkok family hotels who want a short list they can check, not a long catalogue. Every hotel here is 5-star, and every rate we found included breakfast and free Wi-Fi, so those two questions are settled before you arrive.

It works best for:

  • First-time visitors who want central Bangkok family accommodation and short rides back to the room for naps.
  • A family of 4 that wants to compare room setups before booking.
  • Parents arriving after a long-haul flight who care about check-in times.

If you need a pool, a kids’ club or a specific bed layout, use this list as a starting point. Our data doesn’t describe those facilities, so confirm them on each hotel’s booking page.

How we picked these hotels

We used Agoda partner search data for Bangkok, looked up on October 16, 2026, for a two-night stay from November 16 to November 18, 2026, for two adults. We compared overall review score and number of reviews, distance from the city centre, the district in each address, check-in and check-out times, opening and renovation years, and each hotel’s place in the price order of the search.

There are two limits. First, we searched for two adults, so family room availability and child pricing can change once you add children’s ages. Second, the scores below are overall guest scores, not ratings from families only. The hotel table on this page shows live rates, and these change with dates and the number of guests.

Where to stay in Bangkok with kids

The shortlist covers several districts, and the hotels are between 0.9 km and 6.3 km from the city centre.

  • Sukhumvit (Wattana): Grande Centre Point Hotel Terminal 21, 0.9 km.
  • Lumpini, Pathumwan: Grande Centre Point Hotel Ratchadamri, 1.7 km.
  • Ratchathewi: The Berkeley Hotel Pratunam, 1.7 km.
  • Sathorn (Yannawa): Eastin Grand Hotel Sathorn, 4.6 km.
  • Charoenkrung (Bangkholame): Chatrium Hotel Riverside Bangkok, 6.3 km.
  • Address not in our data: Eastin Grand Hotel Phayathai, 2.9 km. Check the map on its booking page.

Central hotels mean shorter trips between sightseeing and rest breaks. With the outer picks, you’ll need to plan transport for each outing. If you plan to use the BTS Skytrain, MRT or river boats, check the walk from the hotel to the nearest station or pier on a map before you book, especially if you’re bringing a stroller.

Booking checklist for families

  • Free cancellation: The same room can be offered at refundable and non-refundable rates. Check the conditions and the exact cancellation deadline before you pay.
  • Taxes and fees: Check the final total, including taxes and service charges, on the last booking screen. Don’t rely on the first rate shown.
  • Room type: Our search didn’t return room-type names. Check the bed setup and maximum occupancy, then decide whether a family room, a suite or two connecting rooms works for a family of 4. Ask the hotel to confirm connecting rooms in writing.
  • Children’s ages and extra beds: Search again with each child’s age, then check the hotel’s policies on extra beds, cots and children’s breakfast.
  • Breakfast: Make sure the rate you pick includes breakfast for everyone in the room.
  • Arrival and departure: Every hotel above with listed times has a 12:00 PM check-out, so arrange luggage storage if your flight leaves late.
